RENAISSANCE: REVIVED

Vox Lucens is an a cappella vocal ensemble in the Boston area dedicated to sharing the joys and sorrows expressed by sacred and secular music of the Renaissance. The choice of the name Vox Lucens, Latin for "a shining voice," echoes not only the ensemble sound we bring but also our hope to shed light on the wide variety of styles and textures of the repertoire.

Our programs combine popular favorites with lesser known works, often in our own editions. We approach the repertoire with a sense of fun, and enjoy bringing out the dramatic aspects of the music.
